3505 Butti Way
Carson City, NV 89701
(775) 887-2355
Overview
The Streets Division is responsible for maintaining the city’s streets, signs, pavement markings, traffic signals, City parking lots, paved bike paths, and storm water collection system.
Responsibilities
Street Repair
The Streets Division is responsible for repairing potholes, crack sealing, and other problems which may be dangerous to pedestrians or vehicles.
Street Sweeping
The Streets Division performs regular street sweeping to help keep the city clean and ensure trash doesn't accumulate and attract insects and rodents or build up in the storm water system.
Curbs, Gutters and Sidewalks
The Streets Division is responsible for maintaining curbs, gutters, and sidewalks. We also maintain the flow of water through ditches receiving storm water runoff from City maintained streets. This system consists of inlets or catch basins, open channels and ditches, and underground pipelines, and detention ponds. City crews periodically clean the banks of the drainage ditches and remove any obstacles obstructing the flow of water through the ditch.
Flood Control
To reduce the risk of flooding and help control pollution in your community, do not place leaves or grass clippings into open drainage systems or place any debris in a location that would impede the flow of water into the underground system.
